Description: This course reviews the different forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, different methods for conflict resolution, including Mediation, Med-Arb, Early Neutral Evaluation, Dispute Resolution Panels, Peer Review and Fact-Finding. It is effective for agencies deciding which of the forms of ADR to implement. The instructor explains each method, incorporates his experience in the area and demonstrates mediation, dispute resolution panels and early neutral evaluation. We taught this class in multiple locations for legacy INS and its union, so that local entities could choose which form they thought would work best at resolving a wide range of disputes, including EEO issues and grievances filed under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
